About
Me
I am a speech language pathologist with almost 30 years of experience working with young children. Some of those children were nonverbal, including those with autism. That is what inspired me to write The Hootsie Family book series, which features an owl that has autism. Each book includes speech therapy activities at the end of the book related to the vocabulary taught in the story. All of my other books were designed to be educational but in a fun and engaging way.
